Is Professionally training a puppy necessary?

YES, professional training is a MUST! I always give new puppy buyers homework before they bring their new English Cream Golden Retriever puppy home. I ask them to research and then visit some of their top local training facilities.

WE suggest to start with a group puppy class. (These normally start at the age of 12 weeks and last for 8 weeks.) Attend the facility and meet the staff but most importantly, attend the “puppy graduation” classes so you can see WHAT THE PUPPIES HAVE ACCOMPLISHED.Compare each facility. Choose the one that you feel most comfortable with. Make sure that every question that you have is answered before choosing that facility. Some trainers have long waiting lists so you may have to get signed up for classes early. If you need any information from us, don’t hesitate to contact us. Remember, these darling 15 pound balls of fur that jump on you now, may be cute, but soon they will grow into large 80+pound dogs! Jumping, begging, pulling and other bad habits are NOT CUTE at that point! Establishing that you are alpha and learning how to control and teach this beautiful white golden retriever baby at this age and size makes for a very happy puppy, dog, and especially forever family! That is our ultimate desire at Majestic Manor Goldens!
